16 Summer Associates will support the Early College & Career Connections. 1 summer associate will work at every school site in LeFlore County to include the following schools: Cameron, Panama, Pocola & Spiro. In Sequoyah County Central, Gore, Muldrow, Roland, Sallisaw, Vian, are also assigned 1 Associate per school. Indian Capital Tech Center & Kiamichi Tech Center each get 1 Associate. Carl Albert State College campuses in Sallisaw & Poteau each get 2. The Summer Associates focus on capacity building and poverty elimination through the development of resources & curriculum for Oklahoma’s Individual Career & Academic Plan. The Summer Associates will also help plan, schedule, & coordinate in preparation of the ’26-’27 school year. These efforts support the Carl Albert State College mission as we work with schools, career tech centers, & tribal organizations to help students find the career options that meet their needs after graduation.
