What You Will Be Doing: This position is part of a 3-person salmon commercial catch sampling crew for the Westward Region Chum and Chinook genetics sampling project. This includes collecting data (fin clips, length, scales, species) from salmon harvested at commercial processors in Sand Point and possibly False Pass, coordinating with processing facility staff, working closely with co-workers to complete data objectives, and living in a remote location. Work hours include guaranteed overtime and are dependent on delivery schedule at the processor so may include working at night or in inclement weather.
