POSITION SUMMARY: The Corrosion Technician is responsible for all facets of field executed corrosion prevention duties including cathodic protection, internal corrosion control, atmospheric corrosion control, protective coating and linings, materials selection and design/project support. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitors and assesses corrosion control efforts for assigned midstream assets. Performs cathodic protection surveys. Takes scheduled readings of monitoring devices. Reports findings. Initiates remedial measures as necessary. Maintains and performs repairs and preventative maintenance on corrosion control equipment. Performs pipeline corrosion defect assessments.
