Job Description: The K–5 Technology and Career Teacher provides students with engaging, hands-on instruction in technology skills, digital citizenship, career awareness, and problem-solving while helping students build creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills. This teacher plans and delivers age-appropriate lessons that introduce foundational computer skills and career exploration concepts in a positive learning environment. Responsibilities also include promoting responsible technology use and assisting with technology integration within the school. Qualifications: Valid Indiana Special Education Teaching License, and Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning. Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Strong knowledge of Positive Behavior Supports, special education practices, assessment, and instructional methods to support diverse learners. Skilled in using data systems to analyze information and develop action plans, with a clear understanding of federal and state special education laws. Proficient with technology and software applications. Able to organize work, communicate effectively with students and families, reflect on professional growth, and build positive, collaborative relationships.
