Position Overview The Film & Media Studies Department at the University of Kansas is seeking to fill an AV Technician position to oversee operations of the equipment pool. The person holding this position supports clients (faculty, staff, and students) by checking out film, video and audio equipment in support of classroom instruction and productions across all production courses offered through FMS. This person also supports departmental events and programming. The AV Technician will be responsible for the effective operation of the equipment room and will assist in supporting all FMS classrooms and production spaces, including but not limited to the sound stage, recording studio, animation and computer labs. The person in this position will be responsible for managing reservation schedules, procedures and databases for equipment check out, as well as keeping strict records of student enrollment, training and contracts supporting all production courses.
