Job Description Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Adult Services, provides a wide cross section of professional librarian services in direct patron assistance, collection development, program and workshop design and implementation, resource sharing, and community outreach related to accessibility, service to the elderly and other populations with accessibility needs. Primary Elements: Provides assistance and standard information and referral services to library patrons. Interviews library users in person, by telephone or other electronic means to evaluate specific needs and identify information and resource sources to meet those needs. Oversees and coordinates the service program to homebound users. Engages and assesses volunteers assisting in the program.
