Department Neuroscience Job Description Job Summary The Coomer Lab is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with expertise in electrophysiology to join our interdisciplinary team in February 2026, studying neural circuit regeneration in zebrafish. Our lab investigates how neurons reconnect after spinal cord injury and what rules govern the restoration of functional circuits. We combine molecular biology, advanced imaging, behavior, electrophysiology, and computational modeling to uncover principles of repair that link development, plasticity, and regeneration. The postdoc will lead independent electrophysiology experiments, contribute to collaborative projects across the lab, and play a central role in mentoring graduate and undergraduate trainees.
