The Division of Juvenile Justice is recruiting to fill multiple On-Call Nonpermanent Juvenile Justice Counselor 1 positions in Palmer at the Mat-Su Youth Facility, Detention Unit. On-call nonpermanent positions provide staffing for absent permanent full-time Juvenile Justice Counselors during periods of vacancy, leave, and training. What You Will Be Doing: This position provides supervision and services to adolescents in a detention setting who are typically awaiting court appearances where future placement and services are determined. Some of our residents have mild to severe mental health issues in addition to their justice system challenges.
