The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Clinical Sciences and Advanced Medicine, Section of Surgery invites qualified individuals to apply for an open faculty position in the Academic Clinician (AC) track in Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Faculty members in the Academic Clinician (AC) track are primarily devoted to clinical service (42 weeks a year) in the Matthew J Ryan Veterinary Hospital and participate in the clinical instruction of veterinary students, interns, and residents. Clinic time will be divided between soft tissue surgery and surgical oncology, but the amount of service in each area is flexible. Time away from clinical service is used for professional development, study for Board preparation (if needed), citizenship to the Department, and didactic teaching.
