After School Chess Instructors Wanted - Winter/Spring Session Checkmate Academy Beginner After School Chess Instructor $50-$60/hour Checkmate Academy is hiring enthusiastic and reliable after school chess instructors to teach beginner-level chess to elementary and middle school students in Southern Maine. We’re especially looking for college students who enjoy teaching, mentoring, and sharing their love of chess, but anyone passionate about chess and working with kids is welcome to apply. As an after school chess instructor , you’ll help students build critical thinking, strategy, and problem-solving skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Our sessions run once a week for 6-12 weeks, with each class lasting one hour. We require a commitment of at least two school semesters.
