The Summer College Readiness Program is two weeks in length and provides an opportunity to college bound high school graduates to experience college living and learning prior to starting college in the fall. Students will attend three courses, College Writing, Reading and Study Skills, and a core lecture course. The goal is for students to discover strategies for the different types of teaching styles they will encounter at college, introduce them to the requirements for academic writing, review, and practice essential study skills, and to gain an understanding of their learning difference, personal learning style, and how-to become strong self-advocates.
