Union College invites applications for the position of one-year Visiting Assistant Professor in U.S. History, beginning September 1, 2026. Applications are due by February 15, 2026. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent preparation to teach courses in 19th and/or 20th century U.S. history, specialty open. The normal teaching load at Union College is six courses over three trimesters. The candidate would be expected to offer chronological surveys or thematic courses at the 100- or 200-level, including existing classes from the History Department’s current catalog. Teaching experience as an instructor of record preferred, as well as ability to offer classes that complement those of the Department’s current faculty.
