Description: Head Start Birth-5 has an opening for a full-time Disabilities and Behavioral Health Specialist working 35 hours per week. This position is responsible for providing training, observing children, developing strategies, and assisting with disabilities and challenging behaviors. Develop, implement and maintain positive working relationships with area Local Education Agencies and Part C agencies to ensure high quality services for children with IEP/IFSP and/or behavioral health needs. Monitor IEP/IFSP information, developmental and social emotional screening results, and other data affecting disability and mental health services. Provide support and model strategies with participants, families, and staff with IEP/IFSP, Positive Support Plans, or Behavioral Management Plans.
