The Department of Science, Technology, and Society at Colby College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position. We seek candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship in any area of the interdisciplinary field of STS. The teaching load for the 2026-27 academic year will include four courses: Introduction to STS, STS Methods, Advanced Topics in STS (a senior seminar for majors and minors), and one additional upper-level elective that fulfills the “Technoscience, Ethics, Justice” area requirement in the STS major.
