Duties Description Under the general direction of an Associate Attorney and/or the Supervising Attorney, the Senior Attorney will review appeals and prepare proposed decisions for the Board Panel Members to review and approve. Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following Reviews case files, analyzes evidence, conducts legal research and drafts Proposed Memorandum of Decision (PMODs), in response to appeals filed under the Workers’ Compensation Law (WCL), Volunteer Firefighters’ Benefit Law (VFBL), and the Volunteer Ambulance Workers’ Benefit Law (VAWBL). Prepares PMODs in line with current case law and Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) policies and procedures. Relevant issues and contentions shall be reviewed, addressed, and resolved.
