Position Overview This is an off-campus , Federal Work Study Program (FWSP) student clerical position, serving as a student intern with the Domestic Violence Victim Assistant Program (DVVAP) within the YWCA organization. This position will work off-campus, primarily at the Oklahoma County Courthouse. The DVVAP offers assistance in writing Victims Protective Order’s (VPO’s), offering information about VPO’s and court advocacy, education and support. Interns and volunteers will receive education pertaining to the process of filing for a VPO, the different types of VPO’s, the court process for VPO hearings, safety planning for court, VPO follow through and resources available for those filing for VPO’s. Interns and volunteers will have the opportunity to provide direct client contact through court advocacy.
