The City of Wheaton is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to serve as our Part-Time Special Events Coordinator. This position is responsible for receiving, processing, and maintaining Special Event applications. The Coordinator reviews applications for completeness and compliance with City ordinances. The ideal candidate provides exceptional customer service and works collaboratively with internal City department stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Receive, process and maintain submitted event applications and supporting documents. Coordinate application review, approval and permit issuance with city event review group. Ensure compliance with City ordinance for all applicable permitting.
