Position Summary Ramsey County operates seven different yard waste sites that receive leaves, grass, garden waste, and tree/shrub waste from residents. The sites also provide finished compost and wood mulch/chips free of charge to residents. The yard waste sites operate 38 hours/wk. April – Nov. and weekends only Dec.-Mar. Ramsey County also provides collection of residential recyclables such as metal, glass, and plastic at the County’s Environmental Center in Roseville. The Environmental Center is open year-round, 35 hours per week. The Service Worker position involves working at either a yard waste site or the Environmental Center or working a combination of both functions. The primary responsibilities of the Service Worker position are to manage residential traffic and to ensure only acceptable materials are being received while directing residents on proper placement of those materials on site.
