What You'll Do: At the direction of the Psychiatric/DD Nurse Director, assumes primary nursing responsibility for assigned residents (e.g., nursing treatment planning, verification & review of physician order, chart audits, self-medication plans, human sexuality programs, medical administration, infection control, physical assessments & health care related scenario programs) as appropriate to assigned duties on assigned duty shift; participates in related meetings as required by Supervisor; responsible to communicate medical information to parents/guardians, when appropriate. Fills in for psychiatric meetings as necessary & works with physicians on a rotating basis (e.g., setting up charts, verifying orders written from physician consults).
