The Saint Louis University Good Neighborhood Initiative will develop a partnership and advising model for 3 student-led programs; Campus Kitchen, Billiken Bounty, and Billiken 2 Billiken. This project supports individuals who are food insecure: specifically individuals who live independently in homes across the street from SLU’s campus, as well as those who live in nearby emergency shelters and transitional housing. Campus Kitchen addresses food justice issues by reducing food waste and providing meals to those who are hungry. The mission of Billiken Bounty is to provide a sustainable on-campus resource to help alleviate food insecurity amount SLU students.
