Vanderbilt University: College of Arts and Science: Humanities: Culture, Advocacy and
Leadership Description: This is a non-tenure-track position with a one-year appointment (with the
possibility of renewal conditional on need and performance) effective Fall 2026. We seek three instructors to join
Vanderbilt University's Program in Culture, Advocacy, and Leadership (CAL), a fast-growing, interdisciplinary major dedicated to civic
engagement. Instructors will be appointed to teach at the new Vanderbilt New York City campus, located in Chelsea. Duties involve
teaching one section of CAL 4000: Practicum and Internship Experience (roughly 15 students per section) each semester, supervising student
internships (which will include two site visits for each student), and attending weekly meetings with other CAL 4000 instructors.
