Job Posting The intern will assist the Inorganic Chemistry Unit and Environmental section of the Kansas Health Environment Laboratory unit during the summer months due to the increase in the number of soil and water samples to be analyzed. There are 1000 public water supplies that use KDHE for compliance monitoring. The intern helped analyze samples from these systems; as well as testing surface waters throughout the state of Kansas in compliance with the Federal Clean Water Act. Public Water systems are collecting source water samples to monitor for the presence of metals or toxins including lead and copper.
