Job Description The full-time Machinist Trainer is responsible for the delivery of training curricula to Electric Boat new hire Machinists as part of NEIT’s Shipbuilding and Advanced Manufacturing Institute (SAMI). The Machinist Trainer must have knowledge and experience performing manual and CNC machinist skills that are required to effectively perform in an industrial setting. Must have the ability to effectively present and deliver training following a curriculum in an educational/training setting that incorporates both classroom and hands-on learning. Position requires proficiency in trade specific skills, oral presentations, report and record keeping, interpersonal interactions, classroom management and computer skills.
