Mercyhurst University invites applications for a full-time position as Visiting Assistant Professor of Biological Anthropology. The successful candidate will be able to apply for a tenure-track position in 2027-28. The one-year position begins in August 2026 and will be housed within the Department of Anthropology and World Languages. In accordance with Mercyhurst’s traditional emphasis on excellent teaching, the applicant will be expected to instruct introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses in biological anthropology, paleoanthropology, human osteology, human skeletal biology, zooarchaeology, and related subjects.
