Speech Therapist Needed - Bronx Location
Productivity Standard:
Evaluates and identifies the speech therapy needs of the PWS and provides Speech and Language Habilitation/Rehabilitation services for the patient as ordered by a physician.
Required skills:
Evaluates and identifies the speech therapy needs of the PWS and provides Speech and Language Habilitation/Rehabilitation services for the patient as ordered by a physician.
- Treats PWS with disabilities, disorders, and injuries related to the area of Speech-Language Pathology.
- Makes use of therapeutic devices and other equipment to maintain or restore maximum performance of speech and language modalities.
- Plans, directs and supervises PWS, family and/or significant other in the use of equipment and exercise regimen.
- Participates in patient communication and interdisciplinary care planning for individual patient needs.
- Contemporaneous documentation using electronic health records
- Meet productivity expectation
- Participate in scheduled supervision
Required skills:
- Master's degree
- Current SLP New York State License or qualifies for receiving license after completing all requirements
- Current Certificate of Clinical completion in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association or qualifies for receiving certificate after completing all requirements
- Meets the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology
- A minimum of one year Speech Therapy experience in a health care setting working with individuals with Developmental Delays preferred.
- Dysphagia experience, a big plus
- AAC experience strongly preferred but not required
- Clinical supervision as needed.
- Abide by the clinical affiliation agreement for interns
