The minimum salary is $25.730 per hour
This position is eligible for overtime (non-exempt), if applicable.
Pay Grade 519
This position is eligible for Hazardous Duty Supplemental Pay ($90/month, $0.52c/hour) and CDL pay ($1.08/hour) upon hire.

The purpose of this classification is to lead, supervise and plan the daily operations of multiple work crews responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of sewer lines.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent supplemented by, specialized courses/training that correlates to satisfactory completion of one (1) year of college education
- Four (4) years of related experience, 2 of which must be installing, maintaining and repairing sewer lines and/or closely related utility
- One (1) year of experience must be in a related mid-level management or supervisory capacity
- Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education
- Organizes and assigns jobs, equipment, and supplies to multiple work crews and/or work sites.
- Ensures completion of work orders
- Provides oversight to contractors and other divisions in sewer line related issues
- Uses various programs such as Accela, Arch Reader, Granite, PeopleSoft, etc.
- Reviews data and prepares reports
- Communicates with property owners
- Uses tools such as shovels, wrenches, clamps, hammers, rigid machines, and pumps
- Complete and submits purchase requisitions
- Performs related work as assigned
All certifications and licenses must be maintained as a condition of employment
- Valid Kentucky Commercial Driver¿s License (CDL) Class B ¿ and a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner¿s Certificate
¿ Must obtain Endorsement N ¿ Tank Vehicles within the first six (6) months of employment - CDL holders are subject to FMCSA query prior to qualification

- Must be accessible to on-call duty and be able to work weekends and holidays as assigned and
during emergencies. - Positions are required to perform snow removal duties during weather emergencies.
- Must be able to operate Urban County Government equipment and vehicles in a safe, prudent and responsible manner.
- All positions require drug testing and background check before employment and may require a post-job offer physical as stated in Ordinances 21-14(b), 22-13 and 23-16.
