Created in 1968, the Groups Scholars Program puts first-generation students and those with socioeconomic barriers on the path to college success by providing academic, financial, and social support, helping them attain a bachelor's degree at Indiana University. In addition, students are offered an extensive student support system, including academic advising, tutoring, enrollment in specialized courses, and activities designed to foster academic success and degree completion.
Job Summary
Serves as Receptionist/Clerical support for the Groups Scholars Program and performs a variety of routine and non-routine clerical and administrative tasks related to the daily management of the office.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary
$12.00 per hour
Work Hours
Position requires 10-29 hours per week, flexible scheduling based on availability, but not to exceed 29 hours per week across all campus positions.
Work schedules will align with the Summer Experience Program 2026 and the Fall and Spring class schedules for the 2027 academic year.
