The Office of Student Life is focused on building a strong foundation to ensure every student's Indiana University (IU) experience is positive, safe, healthy, and meaningful. The Office of Student Life staff and multiple departments aim to help students navigate their time at IU, providing the tools they need to be successful in school and after graduation. The Indiana Memorial Union (IMU) is proud to be part of the Office of Student Life. In its nearly 500,000 square feet of space, the IMU hosts more than 10,000 meetings and events per year, supports student organizations and student programs through its Student Involvement and Leadership Center, and is a popular place to gather for food and drink, studying, go bowling or play pool, or just hang out. It is one of the few experiences that touches every IU student on the campus as well as the building that hosts the most visitors to campus. Through its programs, services, and facilities, the IMU plays a key role in creating a sense of welcome and belonging in the IU campus community.
Job Summary
The Part-time Student Set-up Coordinator focuses on creating welcoming and functional environments that meet the needs of various events, from student gatherings to large-scale conferences. This student role plays a key part in fostering positive experiences that reflect the IMU's commitment to service.

Working Conditions / Demands
This is a physically active position requiring mobility. Must have the ability to move and transfer equipment. This position requires the ability to move and transport objects and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation
Additional Information
This position is work-study eligible position.
Uniforms and safety shoes are provided.

Advertised Salary
$13.10 per hour
Work Hours
Flexible work schedule with some nights and weekends.
Up to 29 hours per week, not to exceed across all campus positions.
