The Office of Student Life is focused on building a strong foundation to ensure every student's Indiana University (IU) experience is positive, safe, healthy, and meaningful. The Office of Student Life staff, and multiple departments, aim to help students navigate their time at IU, providing the tools they need to be successful in school and after graduation. The Student Involvement and Leadership Center (SILC) supports co-curricular life at Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) by fostering engaging programs and leadership opportunities for students. SILC staff work closely with students to help them grow as responsible leaders through hands-on experiences in campus programming and service.
Job Summary
Part-Time Student Event Assistants support program managers and the objectives of Indiana Memorial Union (IMU) Programs. This role supports the planning and execution of a variety of campus events designed to enhance the student and campus community experience - including outdoor movies, live music on Centennial Patio, and orientation activities.

Working Conditions / Demands
The person in this role must be able to navigate assigned buildings for tours and crisis response. The person in this role must be able to move items up to 75 pounds multiple times per shift. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary
$12.00 per hour
Work Hours
Up to 29 hours per week.
Evening and weekend availability may be required based on the event schedule.
This is a summer only position May 25, 2026, through September 1, 2026.
