BalletMet is seeking to increase its Education Department Faculty for a position teaching dance to elementary- high school students during the school year. Eligible candidates should have experience teaching in public schools and/or private studios working with a variety of age groups. Teachers need to be organized, responsible, and energetic. Experience with developing curriculum, lesson plans and assessment protocol is a plus. Applicants should possess a desire to share the art of dance with the community. A degree in dance or a related field and /or performance experience is required. Specialization in a variety of dance styles is encouraged. Work hours are primarily during school hours. This is a part-time, non-salaried position. Teachers are considered contract labor. Reliable transportation and a background check are required.
