Job Summary:

Jeffrey Michael Capital is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to help expand the firm’s reach and drive new revenue growth.

This is a senior-level, consultative business development role focused on creating opportunity, building relationships with business owners and executive leaders, and closing high-value consulting engagements. The right candidate will be confident leading strategic conversations, developing trust-based relationships, and managing the full business development process from outreach through close.

This role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for revenue growth, new client acquisition, client relationship management, and business development performance. It also plays an important role in helping build the internal systems, processes, and best practices that support consistent long-term growth.

This role is ideal for a professional who combines business development skill with executive credibility, strong judgment, and a disciplined approach to relationship-driven growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business development from prospecting through signed engagement
  • Own revenue growth and new client acquisition performance
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline through outbound outreach, referrals, partnerships, networking, and events
  • Develop relationships with business owners, founders, CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and other senior leaders
  • Lead discovery conversations to identify business needs, growth barriers, leadership challenges, and operational issues
  • Present Jeffrey Michael Capital’s consulting services clearly and credibly
  • Communicate the value of Praxis, the firm’s proprietary decision-support platform
  • Manage the full business development cycle, including qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and close
  • Strengthen client relationship management to support retention, trust, and long-term value
  • Increase billable hours by bringing in aligned client opportunities and supporting strong continuity between sales and delivery
  • Help improve business development systems, process discipline, team support, and best practices
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity, follow-up discipline, KPI tracking, and pipeline visibility
  • Support the consulting process when appropriate through strong understanding of the firm’s services and client needs
  • Coordinate with internal leadership and consultants to support strong client handoff and alignment

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B business development, strategic sales, consulting, professional services, or advisory services
  • Proven experience closing service-based engagements in the $50K to $250K+ range
  • Demonstrated ability to generate significant annual new revenue
  • Experience working directly with business owners and C-suite leaders
  • Strong consultative selling, relationship-building, communication, and business judgment
  • High level of professionalism, accountability, and executive presence
  • Comfortable and confident in a performance-driven environment
  • Motivated by opportunity, accountability, and results-based earning potential
  • Strong understanding of consultative services and how to align client need with meaningful engagement value
  • Ability to contribute to the consulting process when needed is a plus
