1.0 FTE Long-term sub for Grade 8 Science (August 31 - October 27th)

We are interested in hiring a long-term substitute to teach Grade 8 NGSS Standards in Massachusetts.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have an appreciation of the strengths and needs of the middle school child.
• Demonstrate the ability to teach an inquiry-based, student-centered, project-oriented curriculum.
• Be familiar with strategies to integrate content and language.
• Have a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts of earth, life, biological, and physical sciences.
• Be familiar with the current Massachusetts State Frameworks for Science/Technology/Engineering and the 8th-grade MA STE MCAS exam.

This would be an ideal position for a recently retired teacher or for someone looking to further their teaching career.

Salary: $37.11/hour
