Utilities Worker

The City of Minden is accepting applications for a full-time Utility Worker I to assist with the water and wastewater treatment plants and infrastructure. Successful applicants must be highly motivated. Possession of a NE DHHS Class 2 water license, NDEQ Class 2 wastewater license and class B CDL, ARE NOT REQUIRED but would be preferred. The City of Minden promotes and encourages professional growth through the support of training and development; and will work with highly motivated personnel to obtain in the future.

Primary duties include maintenance and repair of the City’s water treatment plant, storage reservoirs and distribution system and maintenance and repair of the City’s wastewater treatment plant, lift stations and collection system.

Additional requirements necessary for the position include strong mechanical skills and ability to operate heavy equipment such as loader, backhoe, tapping machines, dump trucks, aerial lift equipment, etc. Position includes on-call responsibilities.

Pay range is $22.00 to $25.50 per hour. The successful applicant will receive a highly competitive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off and retirement plan.
