The Division of Student Affairs & Enrollment seeks two Research and Data Analysts to lead and advance data management,
analysis, reporting, and storytelling efforts across divisional priorities. The positions play a critical role in strengthening the
division's ability to measure, understand, and communicate student impact across career outcomes, health and well-being, student engagement,
belonging, and overall student success initiatives.
This role combines advanced data analysis, survey design, systems optimization,
assessment support, and stakeholder-facing communication. Beyond working with individual units, the research and data analysts will assist
with broader divisional data efforts, including the implementation of surveys, development of key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards,
student engagement tracking systems, and departmental assessment processes.
The successful candidates will translate complex data
into actionable insights that inform decision-making, improve student outcomes, enhance institutional effectiveness, and support continuous
improvement across a broad range of student-facing services and experiences. This position requires a thoughtful, collaborative, and
growth-oriented professional with strong technical expertise, a deep understanding of higher education data environments, and the ability to
communicate findings clearly to varied audiences.
Primary Responsibilities:- Survey Design, Data
Management, and Analysis
- Oversee the execution of large-scale surveys, including the six-week survey, The Pulse, First Destination
Survey and internship-related surveys.
- Support units to ensure robust career outcomes data, student engagement data, and health and
well-being data are analyzed and reported.
- Capture, organize, and analyze small and large data sets from multiple sources to produce
descriptive statistical tables and trend analyses.
- Maintain data documentation and reporting history to support longitudinal
analysis.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across survey cycles.
- Collaborate with divisional leadership, Student
Affairs departments, and Institutional Research partners as needed to align data efforts.
- Storytelling, Reporting and
Technology Utilization
- Extract, analyze, and interpret data from career, health and engagement-related systems. (e.g., Handshake,
EAB, Uconnect, Pathify)
- Work with departments across the division to ensure accurate labeling, tracking, and reporting
protocols.
- Utilize institutional systems and tools (e.g., PeopleSoft, Navigate, reporting platforms) in support of career outcomes
and assessment objectives.
- Produce outcomes reports, visualizations, and infographics to support internal and external storytelling
for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide curated career data to campus partners to support understanding of recruitment
trends, student engagement, and workforce outcomes.
- Develop and maintain report templates to support departmental and divisional
needs.
- Support operational efficiency initiatives related to events, programs, and services.
- KPIs & Dashboard
Development
- Collect, analyze, and maintain key performance indicators aligned with divisional priorities.
- Update and
maintain divisional dashboards to support leadership decision-making.
- Translate survey and operational data into clear metrics that
reflect student experience, engagement, and outcomes.
Functional and Supervisory
Relationships:- Reports to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Student Affairs & Enrollment.

Job Requirements:- Ability to manage and analyze complex data sets.
- Strong
expertise in survey design, data analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to work with enterprise systems and data platforms commonly used
in higher education.
- Ability to translate data into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations.
- Knowledge of
student learning and student development theory.
- Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Technical expertise regarding data
models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect,
organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at queries,
report writing, and presenting findings.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Proven ability to
collaborate across departments and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with
the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in
Education, Higher Education Administration, Social Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field from a college or
University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- At least three to
four years of experience working with survey software, relational databases, and statistical tools. (e.g., SPSS, R Studio, Stata, SQL,
etc.)
- At least two years of professional experience working in evaluation, assessment, and/or
research.
Preferred Qualifications:- Master's Degree in Education, Higher Education Administration,
Social Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field from a college or University accredited by the US Department of
Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
Working Environment:- Typical
office environment
Professional Rank and Salary Grade: Senior Staff Assistant, SL3,
$65,000-72,000.
