Department JACOBS SCHOOL OF MUSIC (BL-MUS-IUBLA) Job Summary Departmental Specific Responsibilities Supports the daily functioning of the Jacobs School of Music (JSOM) Choral Conducting Department, its faculty and associate instructors, and its 12 choral ensembles with over 400 students. Reports to and works closely in coordination with the Chair of the Choral Conducting Department to carry out the following duties. Creates the rehearsal schedules for all choral ensembles. Administers annual choral placement auditions for 400 plus students each August and prospective graduate choral conducting student auditions each February. Coordinates rehearsal, audition, and performance hall reservations. Supervises logistics for and attends all choral concerts and dress rehearsals.
