POSITION SUMMARY The Planner is responsible for supporting the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of short and long range planning, zoning, and community development initiatives, plans and ordinances. This role works closely with community members, organizations, developers, and government agencies to enhance the social, economic, and environmental well-being of the community. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Public Policy or a closely related field and a minimum of one-year previous professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
