In the School of Performing Arts, one or more opportunities may be offered to part-time, temporary faculty members during spring and/or fall 2026. We anticipate hiring in Applied Trumpet Lessons and Collaborative Piano; other opportunities could become available. The faculty member in Applied Trumpet will teach applied trumpet lessons to undergraduate and graduate music majors and minors, preparing students for solo, ensemble, and professional performance opportunities. Responsibilities include coaching brass chamber ensembles, teaching brass-related courses such as brass methods or literature, and contributing to the overall brass area curriculum. The faculty member will collaborate closely with the directors of bands and orchestras to support the brass sections in large ensembles through sectionals, auditions, and performance preparation.
